Aim:
The aim is to learn the hydrodynamics associated with the Emerging Technologies: capillarity driven flows, micro-nano physics and flows, flow control.
Topics:
- Surface tension, capillary flows: physics, hydrodynamics, applications.
- Wettability: contact angle, film spreading.
- Films on a wall: theory, examples, dip coating, spin coating black nano- films.
- Black, nano-films: molecules-surface interactions, disjoining pressure.
- Hydrodynamic stability, waves, breakup.
- MEMS flows. Active flow control.
